Business Economics (CB2) presents the fundamental ideas of economics and how they are used in practical business situations. In microeconomics, topics covered include how single markets function, how market prices and output are determined, how consumers allocate their budgets and how producers determine prices and output, as well as various market configurations and their effects on societal welfare. Candidates will learn about how the economic system functions, the macroeconomic goals of governments, unemployment, inflation, economic growth, international commerce, financial systems, and financial crises in macroeconomics.
