Risk Modeling and Survival Analysis (CS2) expands on CS1 by enhancing knowledge and application of statistical methods for risk modeling, time series analysis, stochastic processes (notably Markov chains and Markov jump processes), survival analysis (including regression methods for duration data), and graduation methods. It also provides an introductory overview of machine learning. The subject encompasses both theoretical concepts and their practical application to real data sets using R.
